Ah, back in the day when Tom Hanks was a comedian...

The flick is hilarious as long as you keep in mind that it's supposed to be silly. The story is simple and out there but all the actors take the material to heart and that just makes it all the more funny for it.
I love the escalation of the whole thing as the situation spirals out of control as does Hanks characters life.
I think the part I dig the most is the teen (Feldman) who just hangs out on the porch and watches everything unfold and even throws a party to check out the finale...

Excellent flick.

I had some strange neighbors when I was living at home and we called them the Klopecks!
There's a fine line between Saturday nite and Sunday morning.

We called our neighbors crack heads. I love the Burbs. My favorite part is when Tom Hanks get so frustrated that he squeezes the beer cans. Hilarious.

My favorite part is at the end of the movie when Tom Hanks says " Ive been blown up" and throws himself on the stretcher
